留学生との別れ
平成２８年４月７日から平成２９年１月３１日まで、チェコからのＡＦＳ留学生Petra Duskova（ペトラ・デュシコワ）さんが、２年７組の一員として半田高校で学びました。
ペトラさんは大変勉強熱心で、週１日のマンツーマンの日本語レッスンでは、積極的に文法の質問をして説明をノートに書き留めたり、図書館や柊陵会館で熱心に日本語検定のために自習をしていました。始めは片言だった日本語も２学期半ば頃にはほとんど不自由なく聞いたり話したりできるまでになり、漢字もたくさん覚えました。また、百人一首がとても好きで、カルタ取りを楽しむだけでなく、和歌の意味にも興味を持っていました。
部活動は、最初の頃は家庭科部や茶華道部に参加しましたが、途中からバレーボール部に入り、他の初心者の生徒と一緒に汗を流して練習に励みました。後輩たちからは「ペトラ先輩」と親しみを込めて呼ばれていました。東北への修学旅行や学校祭にも参加しました。チェコにはない行事だそうで、たくさんの楽しい思い出ができたと言っていました。
帰国後は大学に進学してさらに日本について学び、将来は日本語を使う仕事に就いてまた日本を訪れたいという夢を語ってくれました。ペトラ、また逢いましょう！
Farewell, Petra!
On April 7, 2016, we welcomed Petra Duskova, an AFS exchange student, who came from the Czech Republic. She joined Class 2-7 and spent the school days until the end of January 2017. She was a very hard worker and eager to study about Japan and Japanese language, asking questions about Japanese grammar, writing them down on the notebook and studying by herself at the library. Thanks to her diligence,
her Japanese has improved greatly and she has learned many “kanji” (Ch
inese characters). She was also interested in “one hundred Japanese tanka (poe
ms)” and enjoyed playing “Karuta” (a game of Japanese cards).
Petra joined some club activities such as Home Making, Tea Ceremony, and Volleyball. She practiced volleyball very hard with other students and some of them affectionately called her “Petra-senpai” (our senior member Petra).
School Trip in June and School Festival in September were her first experiences and she had a wonderful memory through them.
She said that she would go to university in Czech and come back to Japan to work in the future. We hope to see you again soon, Petra!

SSH東南アジア研修（タイ）としてタイ王国マヒドン校（Mahidol Wittayanusorn School）で開催されましたThailand International Science Fair 2017（TISF2017）に参加しました。今回のTISF2017は、１６か国、２７校が参加し、タイ王国王女 H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn 様がご列席され、盛大に開催されました。今回、本校の生徒３人が参加し、口頭発表及びポスター発表を行い、その他のアクティビティへも参加しました。
また、LIXILタイ工場で企業研修を実施しました。
